In order to legally sell liquor at a dining establishment, an approved liquor license application is required.  Fill out the form below, and deliver it in person to the Town Hall, or by correspondence to PO Box 9, Stonington, Maine, 04681. 

If your establishment will sell alcohol and feature music or dancing, a Special Amusement Permit is also required.

The first copy is $15 and $6 for additional copies. 

Marriage Licenses 

Maine residents planning to get married in Maine must obtain a Marriage License from their residence town. 

Residents of other states or countries planning to get married in Maine may obtain a Marriage License from any town in Maine but are strongly encouraged to do so with the town in which their ceremony will occur.  This is because in five, ten, or twenty years you may not remember you got a license from Random Town but you will likely remember where the ceremony happened.

All individuals obtaining a Maine Marriage License must complete the Maine Intentions of Marriage form
